Foreign Ownership Restriction
Foreigners may own up to 100% of any stock except Bahrain Family Leisure Co. (Family BI), where foreign investors may only own up to 49% of the company
Disclosure Rules
At the ownership of 5% or more of any listed company, a disclosure is required post trading and at 10% ownership or more, the disclosure must be announced prior trading.
Before reaching a 10% ownership of any listed bank, the Central Bank approval is required

Client Account Structure
DVP model has been implemented effective 1st of Sept 2024. Investors have single account structure (no shares transfer needed). Investors need to send MT599 SWIFT message to local custodian to auth local broker to trade on that nin.
